Brenna Russell, LSW, CADC, CTP

Treats ages: 6-65+

Brenna is a Licensed Social Worker committed to creating a compassionate, empowering space where clients can show up fully as themselves. With a trauma-informed, holistic lens, she honors the complex, layered experiences each person carries.

She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Aurora University and holds credentials as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). Brenna’s background in crisis response, community mental health, and addiction recovery fuels her passion for helping individuals break generational cycles and reclaim their stories. She has worked extensively with survivors of trauma and crime, first responders, and individuals facing anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, substance use, grief, and major life transitions.

She has a particular heart for supporting women, who often face unique and unspoken challenges. Brenna helps women feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate stress, identity, relationships, trauma, and the weight of societal expectations. Her goal is to walk alongside clients as they reconnect with their voice, worth, and inner strength. She values authenticity and connection in the therapeutic relationship, creating a space that feels safe, collaborative, and deeply human—a place where healing is met with compassion and truth.

Her approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative—blending evidence-based practices like CBT, ACT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness with a genuine belief in each person’s capacity to heal and grow. Brenna meets clients where they are, offering honesty and gentleness as they explore the patterns and pain that keep them feeling stuck.

Outside of work, Brenna enjoys traveling—whether exploring new places or finding stillness in nature. She’s a proud mom to three quirky felines and a sweet, energetic pup who keeps her on her toes. Brenna also has a love for creative expression through music, writing, and poetry, often using it as a way to process, reflect, and reconnect. Rooted in a holistic lifestyle, she values moments of stillness, connection, and community, and believes healing happens not just in therapy, but in the everyday rituals that bring us back to ourselves.
